Handwriting Specialist, Specialist in Hand Therapy

Julie Glazer is the founder of Ready, Set, Write! Handwriting Coaching and has been an Occupational Therapist since 1995. She graduated from University of California, San Diego, with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology and continued her education, completing her Master of Science degree from Tufts University- Boston School of Occupational Therapy.

Julie has extensive experience working in the specialties of children and hand therapy. Prior to relocating to San Diego, she spent 3 years at the prestigious rehabilitation hospital of Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center in Downey, CA. Upon moving to San Diego, she worked at Rady’s Children’s Hospital providing services to children in the In-patient and Out-patient settings as well as in Elementary and Jr. High Schools in the Oceanside School District. While working at Children’s Hospital she started to work in the specialty of Hand Therapy. She continued that work providing Hand Therapy services in the private practice setting throughout North County San Diego, which she continues to practice on a Per Diem level. In accordance with California specifications and qualifications, Julie has completed the necessary training as a Specialist in Hand Therapy. Julie is a Level One Handwriting Specialist certified by Handwriting Without Tears® to evaluate and remediate handwriting. Julie’s experience working with children and in the specialty of Hand Therapy gives her the unique expertise to analyze and guide a child to make a personalized and quality handwriting program!
